The Casco Bay Anglers Club (CBAC) announced today the official formation and charter of their not-for profit membership organization. The club’s mission is to promote angling excellence on Casco Bay through camaraderie, education, competition and community involvement. The club will encourage access to fishing experiences and work to serve as a voice of the Casco Bay regions angling community.

The CBAC will host its “First Annual Casco Bay Striper Hunt” on July 19th, 2008. This tournament promises to be among the most visible and well run competitions in Northern New England. It will be tiered competitive framework that will include a fly division, kayak division, spin division and youth division. The early response for registrant commitments and corporate sponsorships indicates that this will be a very successful annual event. The CBAC will also be affiliated with the Royal River Striper Tournament in September.
