Trails End
Sometimes it seems that all trails lead to the Great Lost Bear. That's not a bad thing, mind you. And it's always good to see a friendly face behind the bar there, pouring a pint of your favorite beverage.
Proper fluid replenishment just makes good sense after vigorous outdoor activity. Just ask any MOACer!
Not only is the GLB is a great place for refreshments, it's a good place to hang out with friends while planning the next adventure... the next trail to hike, ski area to visit, or river to be kayaked. Many a wild trip has been planned on the back of a cocktail napkin for sure!
But what does beer have to do with hiking?

It's all about the hiking trip planning, short stack. And the carb-loading.
And it's called the Great Lost Bear! It's practically an outdoor experience by itself. ;)

Not all outdoor activities are outdoors. I've experienced many adventures in bars - the GLB being one of them.
Once the hike is over, we need to 'hydrate' properly. And burgers help refresh our energy. And the friendly pub/tavern is the proper spot to recount our adventures and tales of heroic antics. Buy me a beer and I will tell you the one about climbing Mt. Eisenhower in a blizzard. That was a two-beer adventure.
