Clash of cultures
Hot dogs vs. sushi.
The classic cultural struggle.
Which is better? More refined? Tastier?
Colleen's sushi tour in the Old Port?
Or my visit to the iconic Bolley's Famous Franks in Augusta after a hike up that way last weekend?

Is it gonna be the all-natural fish and rice of sushi? Or the chemical-filled meat ingredients, white bread and sugar-based condiments of the hot dog?
I give the clear edge to the Bolley's dog. Several in fact, loaded up good.
Bolley ain't famous for nothing you know. Ayuh.
What's yer favorite?
Well, at least the mustard is good for you.

As someone who is somewhat obsessed with finding the ultimate hot dog experience, I can tell you that Bolley's (Hallowell) ranks in the top five, but far behind Bolley's (WTVL), Don's (Augusta) and Wasses (Mid coast region).
I have always been a bit miffed at Bolley's (Hallowell) for offering a skinless frank alternative to their natural casing fare. Left me feeling somewhat confused about their integrity.
But that's just me...

FYI: BK's fish sandwich should be banned from outdoor pursuits, as it has been proven to cause:
Frostbite from car windows remaining down in sub zero weather.
Mothers to promptly check childrens diapers.
The collapse of following hikers/bikers .
Dogs to lose their sense of smell.
The disorientation of climbers...
