Wary wolves are checking us out
They're coming. One by one. Checking us out.
Stealthily making their way south from Quebec into the Maine woods.
Wolves!
Dozens of reliable sightings confirm it as fact.
One day, say wildlife biologists, Maine may have its very own wolf pack.
Now wouldn't that be cool?!
I've only seen one wolf and that was in the wild and incredibly remote Escalante Canyon country of southern Utah.
Have you ever seen a wolf in Maine? Where and when?
Picture taken in the back of my
daugher's house that seems to be
on a mountain range that her house
sits on,,,and continous to the
Western and northern part of Mass,
and on to Vermont to Canada..jlp

Those of us who have sheep and goats, and farm the land do not need another predator added to our problems. My understanding is that wolves are not native to Maine so, why import them or add them to the predatory population? My attitude is probably not too popular, but we are all entitled to our opinions.

Jeff,
Wolves are native to every corner of the Northeast and were extirpated years ago. No one is talking of re-introduction. Recovery is a naturally occurring event, depending on available habitat and federal and state protection.
